The Salem High School shows off there Focus and efforts on Phenomenon experiments. “The goal of our presentation was to illustrate and explain what our department has learned over the course of the year in our professional development sessions, about the shifts to curriculum and instruction expected from the Next Generation Science Standards. In short, we are moving our classrooms from a place of “learning about” to “figuring out” by anchoring our instruction in science phenomenon and using science and engineering practices to develop and use disciplinary core ideas to make sense of them and related solve problems.”
