Are you suffering from a case of the winter blues? Hopefully the students in TV 1, Blocks 1&2, can remind you of the beauty of winter.
For this assignment the students and I traveled to the Field of Dreams to try and capture the beauty of winter. Using three cameras each class shot a variety of clips, trying to make the ordinary look extraordinary. All the footage was pooled and every student was then challenged to edit a theme project based on the theme of “Winter.” Students were challenged to think vertically and not linearly, meaning they were tasked to play with layers of videos, video filters, transitions, and key-framing. The results were nothing short of spectacular.
